Saint Vincent’s Medical Center Selects Meta’s Total HIM Solution
New York, NY — Meta Health Technology announced that Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers has selected Meta’s CHARMS 2000 software suite as a total solution for the hospital’s Health Information Management department.
St. Vincent, a Meta client since 1998, has been using the company’s PowerAbstract application to automate the abstracting and coding functions. The hospital now adds Meta applications for chart tracking, deficiency analysis and electronic signature.
According to Maria Muscarella, Vice President for HIM at St. Vincent, the decision to expand the hospital’s relationship with Meta accomplishes the hospital’s goal of product standardization, and provides the ease and efficiency of working with a single vendor. “Meta’s software offers significant benefits for us,” adds Muscarella. “The CHARMS 2000 suite gives us better tools for tracking
and completing records. It also provides more administrative tools than we now have. And, with its electronic signature capability, our record completion process will be much more physician-friendly.”
