Implementation Project Manager

We are seeking a healthcare IT professional to take charge of several implementation projects for Meta software. We’re looking for a candidate with a minimum of 5 years in healthcare IT, with experience in project management. This critical and highly visible position is based in our New York City office and requires 20% travel to our hospital client sites.
Responsibilities will include…
- Working with management and customers to develop project scope and work estimates
- Draft & maintain detailed project plans & provide project management, including project timeline, budget & risks throughout project life cycle
- Review project progress, manage deliverables and work with all stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely completion of project
- Identify new requirements and manage change requests
- Report to management and client on project status and progress
Requirements
- 5+ years of healthcare IT experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences at minimum
- 2+ years of demonstrated project management experience
- Ability to define project scope, develop detailed baseline project plans, facilitate collection of technical, operational or business requirements, set milestones, create roadmaps, and track and manage projects to successful completion
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Must be able to clearly and regularly communicate status, issues and risks to project stakeholders
- Must be able to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing business needs
- Must be highly organized & able to multi-task
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio
