Product Manager, Health Information Management Software

We are currently seeking an HIM professional to work in a Product Management role in our New York City office. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that’s developing the HIM software of the future.
We’re looking for a candidate with a minimum of 3 years of hospital health information management experience, plus demonstrated product management experience in software design and product implementation. RHIA or RHIT credentials are strongly preferred. Experience with software systems, with an emphasis on release of information software, is also preferred.
Responsibilities will include…
- In conjunction with HIM & technical staff, define the objectives for HIM software applications, & facilitate gathering & defining of system/reporting requirements
- Working with development & HIM specialists, develop functional specifications, with emphasis on creating project plans & estimating project size & scope
- Maintain detailed project plans & provide project management, including timeline, budget & risks throughout project life cycle
- Work with Quality Assurance team to develop use case scenarios & test plans
- Provide product management support for products designed
- Develop product demos for sales presentations & staff training
- Present at client meetings & high-visibility industry events
Requirements
- 3+ years of HIM experience, with RHIA/RHIT credentials strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree at minimum
- 2+ years of demonstrated project management experience
- Must be highly organized & able to multi-task
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio

- Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills, & ability to interact with all levels of technical & non-technical staff
- Experience with software development life cycles, infrastructure rollouts & application release management in consumer-facing/online environment
- Experience in making presentations, with proven ability to present complex ideas clearly & persuasively
- Experience in creating documentation (work samples will be requested)
